Quote from a young man who connects with me daily.
. . . the daily checking in really does keep me centered.
. . . moving toward Jesus and not simply away from what I do not want to be. I find grace more quickly and get my eyes back on Jesus faster.
Two thoughts -
1) In Hebrews, it shows the daily speaking together of the Lord is of value.
Hebrews 3:13-14, But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called "today," that none of you may be hardened by deceitfulness of sin. For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
2) It is more important for us to move or turn to Jesus instead of just turning away from what gives us problems or causes us to sin.
I say, "Amen."

Amen brothers, I saw a list of four things that we must do in order to minister life to others.
1. Spend time with Him daily, listen to His voice as He deals with us, which prepares us to speak a timely word to sustain the weary ones.
2. In His presence, receive the light that exposes us, where we confess and are made new to bear fruit.
3. Pick up a burden to care for others as nursing mothers and exhorting fathers.
a. We are cared for by the Lord by caring for others in the Lord
b. If we water others, we ourselves will be watered, and grow with them.
c. Turn our prayers from merely ourselves to others
4. Learn to be interested in people - we need each others shoulders to bear us, and each others breasts to embrace us I love (John4:3-14; 31-34; Exo. 28:9-12, 15-21; Rom. 12:15.)
I would just add that these points really touched me, and the brother sharing said regarding watering others - we just call His name, turn on the hose, and trust the Word of the Lord - He is the living water that continues to pour Himself out - if we cooperate with Him. Lord - let us take You as our pattern and live a life of watering.
